Position Overview:
We are looking for a new colleague for the position of JUNIOR Test Engineer, that supports the
preparation, execution, and documentation of tests for thermal systems.
Main Responsibilities:
• Execute defined test procedures under supervision (follow step‑by‑step test plans and safety checklists prepared by senior engineers).
• Assist with test bench setup: mount components, route hoses/cables, connect basic sensors (temperature, pressure, flow) and verify correct labeling.
• Perform basic pre‑test checks: cleanliness, visual inspection for leaks/loose fittings, confirm refrigerant type and quantity with guidance.
• Operate measurement equipment at a basic level (thermocouples, pressure transducers, flow meters) and record readings accurately.
• Log and organize data using company templates (Excel/CSV or simple DAQ interfaces), ensure traceability and version control.
• Maintain a test logbook: document test conditions, anomalies, and time stamps; escalate issues to the lab leader promptly.
• Support routine maintenance of test benches and tools (cleaning, 5S organization, scheduling calibration checks with senior staff).
• Follow safety procedures consistently
• Participate in onboarding and training: learn HVAC‑R basics, DAQ fundamentals, and internal standards; complete required certifications.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by reporting simple process gaps, suggesting checklist updates, and helping standardize fixtures.
Required Skills:
Technical:
• Foundational knowledge of measurements and sensors (temperature, pressure, flow) and basic thermodynamics/heat transfer concepts.
• Ability to read simple schematics and assembly drawings; comfortable with standard hand tools and careful mechanical work.
• Attention to detail, cleanliness, and a strong safety mindset in a lab environment.

• Exposure to HVAC‑R or thermo‑fluid labs (school projects, internships).
• Familiarity with DAQ systems (e.g., NI, simple LabVIEW panels) or basic scripting (Python) for data cleaning/plotting.
• Understanding of calibration basics, 5S lab organization, and ESD/quality practices.
• Intro knowledge of automotive test environments and safe refrigerant handling (under supervision).
